Regulations of the Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Medical University of Gdańsk

§ 1

The Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy (BWF) is part of the library and information system of the Medical University of Gdańsk and is a publicly available scientific library and a center of scientific documentation and information.It also carries out the tasks of disseminating and multiplying the achievements of science and culture.

§ 2

Employees, students of the University, as well as anyone interested in pharmaceutical, chemical and medical literature have the right to use BWF.

§ 3

1. The following is available at BWF:

1) books,

2) scientific journals that are constantly in effect,

3) daily press,

4) materials from the BWF magazine,

5) original items imported under interlibrary loans,

6) electronic resources, including those subscribed by the Main Library.

2. All library collections are made available as a guest, with free access to the shelves.

3. The collections collected in the BWF warehouse are made available at the Library's headquarters upon their prior order.

§ 4

1. The following are available at library computer workstations:

1) bibliographic and abstract databases,

2) electronic full-text books and magazines,

3) full-text Database of Master's and Bachelor's theses of GUMed,

4) Internet, only for scientific and teaching purposes, stationary and wireless (networks: eduroam and library),

5) online library catalog,

6) MS Office suites.

2. Computer station of the Library of the Pharmaceutical Faculty may be used only for scientific, didactic or educational purposes.

3. After finishing work, the user is obliged to delete the entered data and bring the work place to the initial state.

4. The librarians on duty are entitled to control the use of computer hardware by users.

 

§ 5

1. On library computers, it is prohibited to:

1) make changes to settings, location and deleting files related to the operation of the operating system,

2) installing software from outside or from the Internet,

3) copy and distribute programs and electronic resources covered by the license of the Central Library of GUMed or protected by copyright,

4) use of games,

5) the use of computers for commercial purposes.

2. Employees and students of the MUG with their own computer equipment may use the wireless Internet access after authorization in the Library.

§ 6

1. Users of the Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy are required to comply with the "Regulations on the provision of access to the collections of the library and information system of the Medical University of Gdańsk", in particular:

1) keep quiet,

2) enter the visit book,

3) mute mobile phones and not make calls via them,

4) leave outerwear, umbrellas, briefcases, bags, backpacks, etc. in the cloakroom or in the cabinets located in the library corridor; laptops and own materials are allowed in transparent bags,

5) do not bring food and drinks, except for bottled water,

6) carry a student ID or a doctoral student ID card of the GUMed or BG GUMed library card or other document confirming identity and present it each time at the librarian's request,

7) return the borrowed materials intact, and report any deficiencies to the librarian on duty,

8) leave used items in designated places, without placing them on the shelves,

9) do not leave materials unattended on the tables for more than 30 minutes - after that time they will be available for collection by the librarian on duty, and after the Library's working hours at the Faculty's lodge.

§ 7

1. Books from the Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy may be borrowed outside only after obtaining the consent of the librarian on duty, which specifies the date of their return.

 2. Exceeding the deadline for returning items listed in point 1 will incur a penalty in accordance with the price list of services provided in the GUMed library and information system.

3. The document entitling to borrow outside is the current BG GUMed library card or student or doctoral student ID card which also serves as the library card. Such a document can only be used by the person for whom the document was issued.

4.If magazines are used, they should write a separate reverse for each ordered notebook, containing: the title of the journal, its reference number, volume, issue number and pages on which the article has been placed.

§ 8

Users are required to read the content of these regulations and comply with its provisions.

§ 9

Failure to comply with the provisions of these Regulations may result in the temporary removal of the right to use the Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

§ 10

Settlements of matters not regulated by the provisions of these Regulations fall within the competence of the Director of the Main Library.

§ 11

The Library is not responsible for items left unattended.

§ 12

The Regulations enter into force on 27th August 2019.

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

Due to the entry into force of The Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) the Main Library informs that:

1. The administrator of your personal data is Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector in Medical University of Gdańsk is Magdalena Dłużewska (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

5. Your personal data will be kept for a period required by law,

6. You have the access to the content of your data, the right to demand rectification them, the right to remove or limit of their use, the right to transfer them, the right to post an objection in relation to their processing and the right to withdraw legal consent at any time,

7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection, if it is justified that your personal data are processed by the administrator in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
