The Library of The Faculty of Pharmacy with Subfaculty of Laboratory Diagnosis has a presentational character. The right to use the Library's resources on-site is entitled to all those interested in pharmaceutical literature, and without the actual need to enrol at the Library. Borrowing books on longer time is only possible in Lending Unit of Main Library.
All of the Library's collections, e-resources as well as original documents acquired by means of interlibrary loans are made available in the Library's Reading Room within the Library opening hours. Visitors may use the resources collected in the Reading Room on their own. Taking items out of a Reading Room (e.g. for photocopying) is only possible by permission from the Librarian on duty and requires filling a traditional Request Form.
People using the Library's resources on-site are kindly asked to:
leave their bags, overcoats, rucksacks, umbrellas, etc. in the cloakroom
legibly sign in the Reading Room's Register
leave an identity document with the Librarian on duty
report the publications brought inside the Reading Room to the Librarian on duty
Reading Room's Collection consists of books on particular fields of medicine, pharmacy and other related sciences, including the newest foreign acquisitions, handbooks and textbooks for students as well as encyclopaedias and language and terminological dictionaries. Resources are divided into thematic sections, and stored on numbered and fully described shelves.
It is also possible to use every item currently available in the Library's collection as well as journals, current press releases on-site in the Reading Room. Here you can find Polish and foreign printed journals that have been acquired by the Library in the current year. The collection is divided into Polish and foreign journals sections, with the items sorted alphabetically by title.
Requesting items from the store-room (older numbers of journals) requires filling a traditional Request Form. For detailed regulations on using the Reading Room, including short-term loans, see the Library of The Faculty of Pharmacy and Subfaculty of Laboratory Diagnosis Regulation.
In the reading Room you can use the Library's e-resources, i.e. various databases, full-text e-journals, computer tools, and the Internet (for didactic, educational, and scientific purposes only). One computer located in the Reading Room can be used to view full-text dissertations from the MUG Master and Bachelor Dissertations Database.
