The rules of operation of the Library of the Faculty of Pharmacy from October 1, 2020

The Library will be open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m., with a break from 11:30 to 11:45 to air the rooms.


Before entering, you must disinfect your hands and put a mask on your nose and mouth.

A register of users for sanitary and epidemiological purposes will be kept in the library's visit book.

A maximum of 2 users can stay in the reading room at the same time. It is necessary to keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters between people in the reading room.

This academic year, only people actually using the collections of our reading room may be present in the reading room. It is not allowed to occupy the reading room in order to use only your own materials.

It is possible to make an appointment for individual consultations / booking a place in the reading room - contact biblfarm@gumed.edu.pl, with appropriate breaks between subsequent meetings, in order to disinfect the equipment and ventilate the room.

Readers can use the library collections only on site, there is a possibility of making paid photocopies on their own (the copier is located in the library corridor).


Pursuant to the recommendations of the National Library, books and other library materials, such as journals returned by readers, must be quarantined for a period of 3 days.


The library will accept orders for copies of printed materials, i.e. scientific articles and book excerpts in the form of scans of up to 25 pages, and send to readers by e-mail. If you are interested in receiving a scan of the publication, please send relevant bibliographic information to the address biblfarm@gumed.edu.pl


It will be possible to use the computer with the databases of master's and bachelor's theses after prior appointment biblfarm@gumed.edu.pl


The remaining information services will be provided online as before.

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

Due to the entry into force of The Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) the Main Library informs that:

1. The administrator of your personal data is Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector in Medical University of Gdańsk is Magdalena Dłużewska (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

5. Your personal data will be kept for a period required by law,

6. You have the access to the content of your data, the right to demand rectification them, the right to remove or limit of their use, the right to transfer them, the right to post an objection in relation to their processing and the right to withdraw legal consent at any time,

7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection, if it is justified that your personal data are processed by the administrator in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
